Call for abstracts
We are pleased to invite the scientific community to submit abstracts to the 1st Ibero-American Congress on Bioactive Peptides.
The deadline for submission is October 20th. Click for instructions.
The study of bioactive peptides from different food matrices is a topic of growing interest. Currently, it is gaining more space in the scientific field, highlighting the potential of new food matrices in the generation of bioactive peptides as well as the development of in vitro techniques for the evaluation of bioactivity.
Following this scenario, the Congress aims to present the latest advances in the area of bioactive peptides bringing renowned speakers to the Ibero-American audience. It will be a great opportunity to get in touch with universities, research centers, companies of the agrifood sector, enalting the debate of important questions related to the topic. Thus, the idea is to create an environment for the exchange of experiences and discussion of results, stimulating new ideas and partnerships.
The themes to be addressed are grouped into the following sessions:
1) Trends in Bioactive Peptides
2) Prospecting of bioactive peptides in food matrices
3) Mechanisms of bioactivitie peptides
4) Tools for identification and obtention of bioactive peptides
5) Forum - Establishing partnerships to overcome limitations
The lectures and oral presentations will be given in Portuguese, Spanish or English.
The Congress will be held at the Institute of Food Technology (Ital), within the São Paulo Agency for Agribusiness Technology (APTA) linked to the Department of Agriculture and Food Supply of the State of São Paulo (SAA), and located in Campinas (SP).
Founded in 1963, ITAL is the most traditional research center in the area of food in the state of São Paulo. Ital conducts research, develops products and technology, provides technological assistance, supports innovation and promotes the diffusion of knowledge in the areas of food and beverage packaging, processing and safety.
Campinas has several universities and research centers of high technology. It is located 100 km from Sao Paulo city, with easy transportation between the two cities. Campinas also has its own airport.
We are very excited about this high scientific reach event, and are counting on you to enhance our audience participation.
