Summary
Center for Science for Development – Solutions for post-consumer waste: packaging and products – CCD Circula makes public the opening of applications for a post-doctoral fellowship in the research area of Marketing, Economics and Network Management, to be developed in partnership between the Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering, USP – Campus Pirassununga and the Faculty of Science and Engineering, UNESP – Campus Tupã.
The mission of the CCD Circula is to be a Science Center for the Development of innovative solutions aimed at the problem of post-consumer waste to reduce or eliminate its negative impact, based on the principles of the circular economy and the Sustainable Development Goals.
In its pragmatic nature, this opportunity is dedicated to the research agenda dedicated to the analysis, creation and sharing of innovative technological and organizational solutions for the reduction of post-consumer waste (packaging and products), from the perspective of food retail.
Pos-Doctoral (PD) Fellowship will be granted for 48 months. The fellowship demands full time dedication to the research project. After the selection, the candidate and the research project must be submitted to Fapesp for final approval of the Pos-Doctoral (PD) Fellowship.
Once approved, the candidate will receive a São Paulo Research Foundation-FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship (BRL 8,479.20) monthly, free from income tax, and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
The candidate must have a doctorate in Business Administration, Economics, Production Engineering or related fields. Expertise on food loss and waste (FLW), food retail, delivery and consumer behavior is also valued. The candidate must develop the research agenda outlined by the team of researchers who sign this call, as well as contribute to student guidance and co-guidance, collaborate with other CCD researchers in the development of other projects related to the topic of interest in this notice, assist in the writing and revising the research group's scientific work and working on actions aimed at transferring technology and knowledge.
- Possess a doctorate in Business Administration, Economics, Production Engineering or similar areas, completed less than seven years ago;
- Experience with research and publications in circular economy, strategy and governance of production systems, applied to food losses and waste, food retail and delivery.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative methodological approach and using software for data analysis.
- Experience in the dissemination and transfer of technical-scientific knowledge.
- English language skills for reading, scientific writing and conversation;
- Publication of the scientific results in indexed scientific journals.
- Not to receive a fellowship from another entity, salary or remuneration deriving from the exercise of activities of any nature.
