Summary
The Agriculture Research & Development Foundation (FUNDEPAG) makes public the opening of applications for a post-doctoral fellowship associated to the Center for Research Targeted to Problems in State of São Paulo (NPOP), Biotechnological Platform for Healthy Ingredients (PBIS) – supported by FAPESP in partnership with a consortium of industries and coordinated by the Institute of Food Technology (ITAL/SAA, Campinas-SP).
The research will envolve extraction and characterization of the protein meals from pulses by differents technologies. The functional meals protein will be characterized regarding chemical physical analysis, nutritional, technological, reological and structural properties. As well, its application in food systems.
The 24-month PD project will be developed under the FAPESP NPOP-PBIS project, at Cereal and Chocolate Technology Center (Cereal Chocotec) / Institute of Food Technology (Ital/SAA) under the coordination of Dr. Mitie Sonia Sadahira.

1. Summary of position and experience required
The candidate must hold PhD in food engineering, food technology, food science, pharmacy and biochemistry or correlated areas.
The candidate should develop a project related to the proposed topic, be able to the orientation/ co-orientation of students, to write and review scientific projects, collaborate with other developed research in the institution and be engaged in the diffusion of technical-scientific knowledge.
The candidate must be fluent in English, have knowledge of statistical tools, be a proactive and motivated person, and have the ability to work in a team.

2. Requirements and skills required for the candidate:
- Have completed a doctorate, and obtained the title of doctor in the last 7 years;
- Hold a degree in Food Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Pharmacy and Biochemistry.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary research group;
- Knowledge of the English language for reading, scientific writing and conversation;
- Scientific production in indexed journals;
- Experience abroad is an advantage
Experience in (at least 2):
(i) Food Chemistry;
(ii) Chemical physical analysis;
(iii) Extraction, characterization and/or evaluation of proteins.
